Lawrence D. Newman

Since 1999, Larry Newman has been practicing law in Indiana where he spent almost 6 years as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney with the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. Larry handled all levels of cases including major felony, misdemeanor, infractions, and ordinance violations. While employed with the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office, Larry was assigned as a Drug Task Force Liaison with the Hamilton/Boone County Drug Task Force. Larry has also attended trial advocacy training at the National Advocacy Center in South Carolina sponsored by the National District Attorney's Association.

Since 2005, Larry has been providing criminal defense to those charged with crimes in Central Indiana. Larry's experience includes initial hearings, pre-trial hearings, suppression hearings, depositions, bench trials, jury trials, violation of probation hearings and appeals.

Larry graduated from Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 1999. While attending IU-Indianapolis, Larry served as Executive Articles Editor of the Indiana International & Comparative Law Review and his article RICO and the Russian Mafia: Toward a New Universal Jurisdiction Principle Under International Law was published in 1999. Additionally, while in law school, Larry served as a clerk of the United States Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration. He is also a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa, majoring in Criminology.

Larry is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and Hamilton County Bar Association.
