Dori E. Newman
Dori Newman began practicing law in 2001 as a Deputy Prosecutor with the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office. While working for the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office, Dori was assigned as a Child Support Deputy Prosecutor. While handling over 1,000 child support cases in this capacity, she gained extensive litigation experience ranging from simple modifications to complex, multi-jurisdictional matters. Dori also was assigned to misdemeanor/D felony courts where she represented the State of Indiana in initial hearings, pre-trial hearings, suppression hearings, depositions, bench trials, jury trials, and violation of probation hearings. After leaving the Hamilton County Prosecutor's Office in 2004, Dori practiced family law before joining Newman & Newman.
Dori graduated Magna Cum Laude from Indiana University School of Law Indianapolis with a Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2001. While attending IU School of Law, Dori clerked at the Indiana Department of Environmental Management and the Legislative Services Agency. Dori is also a graduate of Texas State University, formerly Southwest Texas, majoring in International Relations, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude.
Dori is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association and Hamilton County Bar Association.
